A Brief History of Infant Jesus Church, Sholinganallur
This Parish was once a sub-station to the Parish of Covelong (Kovalam). When Fr. K.M. Joseph was the Parish Priest of Covelong, he had purchased the land for the church and constructed a small thatched shed for the chapel. In 1989 when Fr. P.K. Mathew was the Parish Priest of Covelong, the Servite Fathers who were at that time residing at Perungudi running a formation house were invited to help the people for their spiritual needs.
